Leave your helmet at home. You won't need that ;)

 

And almost certainly render your travel insurance invalid in the process.

Dominican republic does have helmet laws.. not enforced and so ignored by the locals which makes the place the most dangerous country in the western hemisphere for motorcycle riders.

If you choose to ignore the local laws.. then be sure to read the small print in your insurance documents. see if the insurer has anything to say about that.
