Guest Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 Hi all,I live in a small market town called Kirkby Stephen. I also have nothing against bikers in general!... However, we have recently had a large increase of motorbikes coming through the town - causing a lot of noise and disruption in general, with numerous "near misses" recorded. Whilst we realise that of course it isn't necessarily you guys/girls who are coming through, but we thought this forum may be a good place to start. If you really *have* to come through the town, then PLEASE be careful and do not speed - there have been several collisions in the last few years with vehicles, with several fatalities. Although some bikers do of course respect the limit and the environment of the town, there are quite a few that come through revving their engines, speeding, and being generally unsafe and disruptive. If you are able to pass this information around your circles then it would be very much appreciated. I actually really respect the polite way you've phrased this and realise it can't be easy to come to a big forum and post this Cheers for keeping it civil! Places like Matlock might love our custom but I never want to see bikers being told they aren't welcome somewhere any more just because one or two act like jerks!
