I wouldn't know about that. This was my only ever interaction with the Polizei and it was pretty fantastic. The only other time was a friendly smile from a Police biker after he had slapped tickets on all the cars parked wrongly in the handicapped section of an Autobahn service area.
Look up Bernie Eclsetones case in Germany.
I already did... You said "Bribe" and actually meant Section 153 of the German criminal code. That is not a bribe... It's a perfectly legal way to end a trial in the German legal system. I guess the tabloid press didn't like it... Apparently more than a few German prosecutors don't like it either, but it was the courts decision to make and so he paid the court £60 million and walked free... Seems the case could have cost more than that and he still might have walked free, that was the conclusion reached by the court in Munich. Section 153 only applies to difficult cases where a guilty verdict is in serious doubt and a payment... A significant payment will satisfy the public interest and save it from a very expensive trial.

They have some strange rules in Germany.
May be legal but it sure looks like one.

Like you said, some weird rules. Though I do believe there is somewhere in the USA where it is against the law to slurp soup off a spoon. Weird laws are everywhere.

Oh FFS
Kids!!!!
Lads just come home n told me he's punched somone at the bus stop....
An older boy who had pushed him into the bushes.
Lewis does Kickboxing and at 13 already spars with adults.
The boy who as I gather has previously attempted to bully Lewis has ran off holding his jaw!!!!!
So conversation goes like this...
"Lewis. Was it 1 punch?"
Yes dad.
"Are you sure you have not teed off on him"
Promise dad. One jab....

Guess who will be at school tomorrow if this kids hurt :crybaby:
Good. Maybe the prick won't do it again then. Would be far worse if it was unprovoked.
Exactly.
Just found out the kid he's cracked is in his last yr at school. 5th form in old money.
Lewis is in the 3rd. So he's unlikely to go running off to the school head etc.
I've checked Lewis hands etc. And he's definitely not gone nuclear on him. Just one knuckle a bit red and his shins only have the normal bruising. :thumb:
That was my worst fears. If he'd properly gone for it.
He hurts me at times nowadays when we spare.

Glad you're ok!

I lived in Germany for about 8 years, they have some strange rules!

Someone hit my parked car and knocked it into a tree, my insurance had to pay for the tree
then claim it back off the offender!

The damage to the tree was considered much more heinous than the car damage! :?
I hope you demanded the arborist fetched a translator and you got witness statements from the bushes.

Just back from his Kickboxing class
It be reyt. All part of growing up.
Times have changed tho. People tend to get authorities involved nowadays where as when we were growing up if 2 kids had a square go that was the end of it.

It's more scary now because he's like a brick out house n getting good it.

Very true mate.
At 13 tho I did wonder if he had teed off properly.
The little bugger got on his toes with me last week when sparring. (I'm dreading the day when he learns to guard properly. He still fights like he's leeds answer to Sugar ray..lol)
