The lower section taken from the leg of a phone tripod from Poundland is a perfect fit for an aluminium tent pole . Ideal for sleeving cracked or bent sections . See pole at the bottom of the picture.

I remember getting a GSX750 home from LeMans by fixing a broken clutch pushrod with the spike form the top of a tent pole & a rivet link to fix the chain.

 

I made a clutch push rod out of the grill from an old cooker for an MZ TS 125 , probably better than the original !
