Rutland Water

Post by JRH » Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:25 pm

Today’s run was to Rutland via Magna Park, Market Harborough, A427 then to Uppingham.
Stopped for coffee and bacon butties at Wellies coffee shop.
Just before we got there had a quick game of foottie with what looked like the jockey wheel that came off a caravan.

Stopped off at Foxton Locks on the way back.

Good day and almost as hot as @XTreme Has to put up with

There were only the 2 of us at the Cafe.
We saw 5 other bikes at the canal basin but didn’t see the riders.
There were loads of bikes out on the roads though. πŸπŸπŸπŸ‘

That's not the Rutland I remember from my childhood.
I recall frozen sheets and ice bergs I tell you, must of been serious I got my wetsuit or I was not allowed to sail....

β€˜β€˜Twas rather warm today. Inside seats were the choice for refreshments. Far too hot outside.
