The Shining!

Post by XTreme » Sun Aug 30, 2020 6:49 pm

I visited Los Lanos which wasn't actually a passenger station, but it was a very important part of the old railway network because it was the loading station for iron ore from the nearby mines. Access to all of it was very limited though.

So I checked out the abandoned factory nearby......and I hit gold! It was access all areas including the upper floors........and it was like The Shining in there! So watch the vid!

@fastbob.......no crazy dossers were harmed in the making of this production!

They're hoppers or silos and what looks like extraction ducting
ours are bigger and hold /blow sand.
could be that, could be cement could even be flour!

You hold the stuff in the big ones, blow it through the pipes to the smaller ones then suck the dust up in the factory

Is there/was there a quarry nearby?

If I had to guess just from those pics I'd go for a cement factory

There were mines that fed the Loader on the rail network.

But that factory closed in 2005 according to the calendar.......whereas the railway closed 20 years before that......so I doubt they're connected.
