What does this indicator mean? Noticed recently that it has turned on, and the bike start sheltering a little bit.

what is sheltering?

a. Something, especially a structure, that provides cover or protection, as from the weather: a shelter for hikers.

b. An institution providing temporary housing and sometimes counseling, as for the homeless, runaways, or victims of domestic violence.

c. An establishment that cares for unwanted or stray animals and tries to find owners for them.

2. The state of being covered or protected: The fox found shelter in a cave.

v. shel·tered, shel·ter·ing, shel·ters

Is it the left indicator or the right indicator that might help u work out which way this is going.

Looks very much like its a Vietnamese import and as such finding (and translating) an owners manual has proved impossible for this particular family of bikes. Plenty of owners manual to download.. but not for these.

They are still in production though (since 2003) mainly in the Philipines, Malay and Indonesian markets so... your best bet for an answer is to go to a Yamaha Dealership.. maybe they can find out for you. Im thinking its probably something to do with the engine management. (next to the fuel indicator - but away from the turn signals and high beam)

Maybe there has been a UK scooter in recent years with a similar layout.
