What roads for running in a 125?

Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn’t get a google search to pull up anything.

I need to put 600 miles on my new bike over the next 5 weeks and wondered how I should look to do it.

I was thinking a few 50 - 100 mile weekend trips out on some quiet b-roads but I’m concerned about the lack of revs i’ll be able to use. I’m imagining changes under 6k revs will be slow process so should I look to try and do mostly 30mph roads do you think? Some of the b-roads I had in mind might be 60mph in places.

Thanks

I did three hundred over two weeks just by popping out for an hour and a half most days. This enabled me to practice as well which was the joint aim as well as adding mileage.

From where I lived I aimed to do some round town, five to ten miles, and then double that or more on A roads. I did a duel carriageway for about forty but that was boring.

Good luck, agree with previous post, just ride.

Any roads will do but you want to avoid running too long at set speeds, revving it too high and most importantly do not let it labour. I'm running in a new bike and went round N Wales yesterday on a mix of A, B roads and short stretch of dual carriageway. Keep the engine revving freely without giving it full throttle.

Actually it’s the riding bit that’s most important, but heyho!
