It's a good idea but if you want MPs to consider a petition is needs to be something more than anecdotal evidence of what one person sees. As it stands that is unlikely to be taken very seriously.

Whilst I think it's a good idea, online petitions very rarely make it to Parliament and even rarer that legislation is past.
My prediction is, it will never get off of the ground.

No point.

Even if Government debate it, DSA will ignore it as they will just state that they are the licencing and testing authority for the UK and they will not be dictated to, and even if they did debate and impliment something, do you honestly think people would take notice or that ot would make a difference?

No it woudn't.

How many people continue to read the Highway Code once they have passed their theory test?

How many people have ignored the publicity about lane hogging, using mobile phones, tailgating and the like?

I would be delighted to be proved wrong, but given my involvement with Government and road safety bodies in the past, I doubt it.

So, I am not signing. I see no point unfortunately

Lane hogging annoys me. I want to put a banner hanging from motorway bridges to remind people we drive on the left in this country!
I was thinking of starting a petition to have the UK.gov force the powers that be to put the signs up officially

I agree with all the arguments for not signing, but I still signed. I reckon it's worthwhile, just because it might raise public awareness a bit. And as a bonus I got in a vote number 3000 :D

What's wrong with with vaping in a car
