Re: Licence
I remember being pulled over on my H100 on the A1 at 3am, with pillion on board and flat out head on tank passing a police car which was doing probably 50 and I was doing 56 or something with the poor engine screaming it’s little guts out! No L plates, but I had a full licence (passed a few weeks earlier).SlowBusa wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2018 12:02 pmI remember on one of those police shows ....possibly "road wars?"
And they pulled over a 125 because it didnt have L plates and the rider was a small slight built fella,
They assumed he was a 17 year old being "cool" riding without L plates
And went in to "tell him off" .....they asked him in a stern voice where are they ......you Cant ride without them, its Illegal!.....reply was I have a full licence
Oh yeh? they said (sarcastically) "when did you pass then?"
In 1947 he said.........he was in his 90's and still riding![]()
Kudos to him!
That stuck in my head...loved it![]()

Looking back, i can see why they pulled me over! Lol!
