I've been away for a couple of days helping my brother move house...so just catching up.

So what's wrong with Earl Grey? I always drink it, without milk of course. If folk on here are going to start dissing Earl Grey then there's going to be trouble.

It'll be teacakes at 50 paces.

Since my father is the founder and lifetime President of the Friends of Lancashire anything to do with that place whose name shall not be mentioned is strictly verboten in our house. And just for the record I drink my Earl Grey whilst scoffing God's own food...Bury black pudding.

Frankly steak is something I find to be tasteless and chewy. Whereas black pudding is delicious and has a most delicate texture. Served with a good English mustard it is the greatest of delicacies. Of course there are those who fry it and destroy the finesse of the cuisine. Better to simmer gently and serve so it crumbles on your palate.

I believe the only violence shown using black pudding as a weapon was to a Scottish gentleman who was playing the bagpipes at the time - so really that doesn't count as assault, more self- defence.
