Shouted at it for half an hour because Kawasaki have put locktite on the bar end bolts so you can’t get them out

Checked the Z250SL's front sprocket because it's really quite noisy but found it's not picking at the chain yet so left it.

Added some Chinese farkle to the TRX so the fairing doesn't flap about any more:

And then went for a ride on the CBX because it has sat still for 3 months.. Mostly because it's at the back of the garage and digging it out is a major faff.

She started on the first compression stroke, I was so proud! Probably my favourite weather for it too, no eye strain from too much sunlight and just cool enough to not be sweaty.

Had a trip to bmw to investigate the dodgy key fob. New one ordered.

Surprisingly I didn't rain so my bike is fairly clean.

Also ordered some Chinese farkles and saved a small fortune over branded stuff which looks identical and possibly made from the same factory? Who knows.

I tried to start the BMW to take it for an evaluation. It spluttered sadly and refused. So it got it's picture taken and put on charge. It's getting traded in for a rebel in a few weeks time

Went south to Oria in Almeria this morning!

And there's an interesting first pic which shows the bike in 2 different Spanish provinces AT THE SAME TIME!

The front wheel is in Almeria.......and the back wheel is in Granada!

Ewan and Charley need to be taking notes on innovative shit like this! 8-)

Started my 125 for the first time since I passed my test. Been about 6 weeks, no issues. I want her to be ready because I don’t know what is happening to my big boy bike still. It is with the insurers and I don’t think there will be Avery detailed report. I think they will both (both insurance companies) just agree to write it off.
If they do I shall need to decide whether it is worth spending the salvage cost to buy the bike back. In the mean time once all that happens the hire bike will go back so I suspect I will be back on the 125

Gave the bike a quick fettle and then rode it up to Glasgow. 6 hours in the saddle so a bit of a numb bum. About a hundred miles of roadworks on the M6 plus an accident to slow things down even more. Started to rain just past Lancaster so got a bit damp around the edges. Bike ran like a Swiss watch. Now ensconced in hotel bar at company's expense so not too bad.

Have you discovered the B7076 / B7078 ? This is basically the old A74 that runs parallel to the M74 all the way from Carlisle to the outskirts of Glasgow . The surface is a little rough in places but it's absolutely deserted . You can still use the M74 Services as well . The best place to join it is at Kirkpatrick Fleming having left the motorway at Gretna .

The only thing that would put me off living there is the lack of Tesco's convenience stores. Image

Used the CBF to do my usual rounds - down muddy lanes and in the pouring rain. So came home rather splattered with crap and dampness.

But then to cheer me up I spotted a pair of virtually unused Bobber exhausts on ebay going for a very reasonable sum. So I have bought them

I have indeed found this road and used it. Had things gone to the original plan I was going to ride up to Barnard Castle on Saturday via "interesting" roads, spend the night at my daughter's place then ride up to Glasgow on similarly interesting roads. Would have been great. Unfortunately I was delayed leaving Singapore so didn't get home until Saturday morning and after 13 hours in BA cattle class I wasn't riding a bike anywhere. Hence Sunday's requirement to thrash up the motorway....
