I'm looking at setting up courier business using my bike. Tired of working for someone else and need change in career.

I would really appreciate any advice from anyone who is or was either a courier or runs/ran a courier business.

happy to take responses either buy reply here or by message.

many thanks,

Do they still exist ? I would have thought the internet had pretty much killed them off . I haven't seen a MC courier for donkeys years . Pony express was the one I remember but I've googled it and there's nothing in the UK .

Yea they do I was a rider for courier systems now known as ecourier in and around London in 2012/13 it was a horrible job doing it over winter but in the summer I'm sure it would be great

I see some everyday! There's a TNT guy who is actually insane...I don't actually know how he's still going

Yea the motorcycle courier is naturally slightly loony....though I did the job for 6 months and didn't have an accident at all but there were loads having offs literally every day I used to just pickup the job and turn off the radio which might have slightly pissed off the guys in the office but if I didn't do that I'd just get hounded to go as fast as I could, they would expect you to be able to do from east London to west London within 15-20 minutes.....not really possible if you don't have a death wish
