Uzi
My clutch cable snapped, and I replaced it yesterday with a new one, was just wondering if it's fine if I use the lube I had for my pushbike? This is it: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283596812781
winston smith
I'm not familiar with that product. I doubt it would do harm. For cable lube any light oil ( like 3 in one) is ok.Don't waste your money on expensive branded oils.
fastbob
Yeah , can't see any issues with that . It's probably pre oiled anyway . I fitted Slinky Glide throttle cables to my ER5 and they are so frictionless that they are bloody dangerous ! Go over a bump or sneeze and the bike leaps forward in an alarming manner . gogs01
If your clutch cable is lined with PTFE, it should never be oiled.
