Tyre repair or chuck?

Has it gone through the carcass? It looks like it might just be in the tread rubber. If it went in sideways and has worn the head off you might be lucky.

It must have, it was down at 4psi when I got to it after work. I put it back upto 46psi and it was ok to get me home.

It’s whether it’s too close to the sidewall, I’ve got the MOT booked for Monday too so I might get the train tomorrow and see if I can bring it forward.

I would plug that.. if you were closer i would pop round and fix it for you. nails/screws - very simple repairs.

Oh yeah offering to go round and plug him......knew there was something odd about you

Would you do the diy external plug or take it in to get the tyre removed and plugged from the inside like you do a car tyre?

If it was me I would remove the tyre and use a mushroom plug

Just because I can do it all myself

Where do you take it? I use the old guy in boldon for anything bike related

I work not that far from westgate road so usually drop it off at Armstrong’s then walk upto work and pick it up on my way home.

Where at Boldon? Could be handy for me to go there since it’s a couple of miles away rather than 12miles.

I feel your pain, last week I got 2 small holes in the middle of the tread but close together so I don't think they can be plugged on a Supercorsa that had only done 200/300 Miles  , £220 for a new one when the weather gets better :( .

46 psi ? Isn't that a bit high ?

factory spec is 42psi rear, i figured with some coming out having an extra few psi would help me get home.

Fair enough , just a bit higher than I'm used to .
