Heated grips

Recommended Posts

I’ve just fitted R&G’s to mine last week. Picked them up for £29 at the NEC bike show. Simple enough to fit and super hot. I’m happy so far.

I think that the Oxford’s look a more quality product and there is more choice re grip style. The temp control looks better and allows you to adjust up and down on the Oxfords whereas with he R&G’s you have to cycle up through the heat settings to get back down to zero if you see what I mean. May be annoying when riding.

Some of the magazines are running a promotion just now, sign up for the year and get oxford grips for free. I think it’s BIKE that have it just now.

Oh, if anyone buys a new Triumph model which has the ride by wire throttle, currently you seem stuck having to buy their ones at £180 :crybaby:

With the cheap ones for £10 you buy a relay which can be used to power other additional auxiliaries and the jobs done. I have been running mine for 18 months on one bike no issues.

I have the Oxford heated grips that the previous owner installed on my Tiger 800 Xcx. They are very effective and offer more temperature settings than the standard Triumph fitted ones, for a cheaper price.
