Jacket and gloves check:

Recommended Posts

Hi!

What do you think about buffalo horizontal jacket and richa gloves? Is it good enough for someone like me, quite newbie in riding?

Do someone use it and can review?

I've had some Buffalo trousers that lasted very well, but were like a sponge in the rain (easily fixed with waterproof overtrousers). The zips gave up quite quickly though, which would be more of an issue on a jacket. I've also had some Buffalo gloves which were pathetic, fell apart in miles.

Richa gloves are better, mine have lasted years though again they were never waterproof, though they are semi resistant. Good for the price. Though your link points to the jacket again so not sure which ones you're looking at :P

If you're local to Northants then pop into the J&S factory shop, in Finedon. You can pick up better stuff for cheaper.

If you aren't local, please ignore this suggestion. :D

It's a budget jacket and you get what you pay for.

It's 600 dernier and has CE armour, so it's safe enough, it might just be a bit leaky in the rain and a bit sweaty in summer. But waterproofing only matters if you ride 30 minutes or more in the rain, and there are plenty of vents to open in summer and try keep you cool.

If you like it and it fits your budget go, for it.

If you can afford to buy better, then buy better.
