Casual riding boot

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a casual riding boot that somewhat resembles a work boot? I know of the RST Roasters, and they're really nice and all, but I'm looking for something a bit cheaper.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Be wary of laces.. they get tangled up, you can't take your foot off the peg, and you topple over in a heap on the floor...

When I was 18 i stopped at a traffic light on my XT500 ....I had trainers on and my laces got caught around the gear shift

I couldnt do anything as I had already started tipping the bike to the left as I went to put my foot down I simply Flopped slowly onto my side with the bike on top of me

A nice car driver behind me got out to help me up as I couldnt move..............I dont think we got a full sentence out between us, as we were Both Laughing that Hard it was REALLY Comical

I Only wore Bike boots from that day forwards

It could have been a lot worse

I had a similar accident at a pedestrian crossing when the kickstart got stuck up my trouser leg, just as a girl from my school and her mum were crossing the road in front of me... much street cred lost that day! haha

I bought some TCX X-Blend boots which I'm pretty happy with. Ankle protection, waterproof, reinforced gear change zone etc. There pretty comfy and look causal enough for walking around town or café/bar.

At the time I bought them, Infinity Motorcycles suggested these as alternatives:

"Spada Pilgrim Grande, the Falco Ranger, the Oxford Merton and the Belstaff Whitwood"

With laces I just tuck them in. Either inside the ankle, or more securely under the zig zags on the front of the boot. I've also had a mishap with them before, but got away with it.
