Stay away from anything under £100!!!!!

You will get what you're paying for and I bet you that you will be getting a intercom with a small battery that will last 2hrs if you're lucky the noise will be horrendous at 40mph and you will hardly be able to hear each other.

www.dhgate.com or www.gearbest.com will have what you're looking for with reasonable quality, of course more expensive will be trouble free at 70mph with excellent headphones.

I have a V8 and have bluetooth, radio and comms between up to 6 riders within 1 mile apart.

You can get cheaper than a V8 that at the time cost me £120 but I don't regret it for a second.

Downside of the above websites is that it will be coming from china so you will have some travelling time to allow for. dhgate is more expensive than gearbest but far better quality. :thumb:

We have a couple of the V6s and never had any issues with them. For the price very happy. Only real issue is the buttons are small, but that was never a huge issue for us as once paired we didn't need the buttons (they're mainly if you have more than two units paired and allow you to switch between units as they can only connect to one other unit at a time.

We have changed now but only because if me and my wife got out with the kids we wanted four way intercom.

I've been meaning to sell our excess ones - let me know if you want them and save a bit of money vs new! :)

As I was posting I see Husoi wasn't a fan, I can't say I ever had these issues and most reviews online will back this up. Never had an issue with battery life either.

I have to say so far I am with the guys who advocate the more expensive items.

The cheapest I have found that worked was the Lexin B4FM which we still use paired with my HJC Sena based unit.

Cheers

Tough one this, I have Packtalk for coms. Having had cheaper.

Would I buy again?

No - expensive and you cannot get unit serviced for new battery.

Yes- Dual audio streaming, we can listen to our own music/ radio share music and have a conversation simultaneously.

For group riding I am not fussed pillion to rider I like.

I've just ordered 2 of these seemed well priced. I only really need them for when my wife is with me. Otherwise I'm quite happy not to really speak to anyone, listen to music or take calls etc. I think these are a bit limited in terms of you can only link to 2 other parani sets so not for everyone. But just over £100 for the pair seemed reasonable and ticked all the boxes for me.

few trips out with the V6 i got from SometimesSansEngine and we love them.

Longest trip was 2 hours or so and we had no issues. If she dropped back to far lost a little sound but thats normal. Very clear comms and our bikes are not quite. Not tested with music as my normal phone has been broken 2 weeks and using a temp one.

so very happy.

I must admit the exhaust noise can make a little difference.

Its a bit of a laugh that the Busa means I have to be careful with wind noise at speed, the ZRX is upright and a lot of wind noise and the new Harley is just fookin loud lol.

My favourite thing about the modern comms is I can chat with passenger while I am in the filling station preventing re-visits to pick up something stoopid like paper or whatever.

Given social distance I would rather chat with passenger than the great unwashed in the queue to pay.

Cheers

Just becarefull how much you flirt with the girl at the till, when you forget your misses is listening.

On the other foot wait till your other half is at the till then wisper sweet nothings in her ear.

Maybe how you have some intermit sexual fantasy, that you would like to act out. Perhaps that the person at the till remind you of a porn star, who is renown for extreme...

You get the idea.

I think you might need to get out a little more lol.

Your imagination has some interesting recesses that's for sure.

From my previous post I said I would review the parani Comms kit I bought and here it is. The quality seemed great, everything fitted on my lid perfectly and paired to my phone just fine. All worked as it should with exception of the Intercom which was the sole reason for purchase so I could chat to my wife whilst on the back. Not wanting to give up on them I tried customer support I my to find it was a page of details to be filled in with pretty much every detail except what I had for breakfast! This was too much faf so I posted it back to Amazon. These are made by Sena but clearly the lack of customer support was surprising.

Next I looked to another cost effective option and £135 later I purchased a pair of cardio scala rider q1's. They are designed as a cheaper option just to link a rider and pillion, mobile phone usage and music/radio streaming. I wasn't bothered about music just the intercom and accepting any urgent phone calls, they can't pair with other intercomms but again not an issue as I'm not looking to do that. All fitted well and set up in less than 10 minutes. After a 6 hour trial to Wales and back I can report they did the job perfectly with a battery time to spare.

In short a great value budget option which fits the bill. I'm guessing these were the price they were as they were produced until 2017 and have been sat in a warehouse somewhere.

Great eBay seller who I had to contact for advice when I couldn't find the one little box hidden in the main box, and a full guarantee given.

Hi

Me and the missus have the Freedconn headsets in our helmets and have done 000's of miles using them with no issues regarding sound quality or battery life. On average we get about 10 hrs usage out of them given that they are in talk mode all the time while out on the bike. Ours only have the on-off button and the volume/mode rotary dial and are super easy to use even with thick winter gloves on. Would I buy these again then the answer has to be yes. For about £100 for a pair of headsets and units then they work out at good value for the money

That's a good price and 10 hours usage is great. It's finding that happy medium between cost and quality looks like you nailed it there
