Had an explore and Abington to the A76 via Leadhills and Wanlockhead (B797) is a great road and climb

The Mennock Pass down from Wanlockhead to the A76 is the best part, twisting, narrow and I saw people panning for gold in the river!

The road surface is good, just watch for sheep.

I want to investigate the little road to the north, the B740. Hopefully it is strewn with pot holes and rocks, just as I like them!

Did this today

Sanquhar to Crawfordjohn to Leadhills is excellent, apart form the sheep, the lorries, the muck, the stones, the pot holes, but otherwise it is a great run :D
