Good evening all

I’m looking to start my motorcycle training and after some advise.

I’m 27 and have been driving a car for the last ten years however when I was 16 I completed my CBT and had a 50cc moped.

However now I’m looking for the real deal.

Can someone give some sound advice on where is best to start with this .if anyone can recommend anywhere local that would also be great .im in Kettering Northamptonshire

Welcome.

Options are another cbt which will allow you to ride a 125 up to 15bhp with plates, no pillion (passenger) and no motorways. You have to redo your CBT every 2 years. Its a 7 hour or so course where they teach you basics of riding a 125 - costs about 100 quid.

If you deffo want a bigger bike immediately its a 4 or 5 day Direct Access (DAS) course including 2 tests that probs costs £600 or so the you can ride anything you like and never have to redo it. Have to do a theory too though.

Most go cbt first then DAS but it's up to you.

For actual prices as rennie says speak to a local instructor school.

Hello,

This a very basic and also a good question to ask as there are a lot of people who want to ask this but don't. According to me you should go to one of your local driving schools or else you can also check them online, they quite helpful. As far as your CBT clearance is concerned, you have to get it cleared every 2 years.

Now a days you need to clear 2 modules, one is theory and he other is a practical test.

I hope I have cleared your doubt.
