fastbob
A top tip for any of you who don't like spending money . Next time you shell out on an expensive gasket for your motorbike or Harley Davidson, get some gasket paper of a similar thickness and draw round it a few times with a biro. Hey presto ! Four gaskets for the price of one ( and some gasket paper )
Mississippi Bullfrog
Ee lad, thar don't want to go spending your brass on gasket paper. A cornflakes packet works just as well.
Beansie
I mean I’d do it if I was desperate but for the cost of a gasket I wouldn’t go to the hassle and take the risk of it going wrong

EX GASMAN
Had to make gaskets for my apprenticeship 50 plus years ago but I haven't made many gaskets since. It may be worth having some gasket paper around not just for the cost but to save time if it has to be ordered in.
Grumpy Old Git
Be doing this for years! Still got some 'medium weight' gasket paper left.
