Hi guys I've got a 2008 ybr 125 carb model which has had a replacement engine, which was injection but had a carb manifold to. I found out it should be idling at 1300 to 1400 rpm, mine is idling at 2000. It sounds fine, but if I adjust the idle to lower than 1900 it starts to struggle, but will still rev responsively. Is this something I shouldbworry about or is it ok to have my idle set at 1900 to 2000? A friend said that the rev counter isn't 100 percent accurete and it sounded fine, but I want to be sure

I was beginning to think that. Would there be any way to check the revs accurately?

You can see if your garage has a reader for the ECU or use a timing strobe on the HT lead.

You can also check it with a multi-meter - some Fluke units will do it but they're £.
