Jake.southwick
Hi, so about a week ago I took my kawasaki kh 125 out to work and on the way back was hit by some heavy rain, ended up having to push the bike home as it stopped starting after a while, it would run for a bit then lose power and cut out and so on until it finally stopped for good. I found the problem( or so i thought) as some water had gotten into the fuel and into the carburetor so i drained the tank and cleaned the carb and put new fuel it, the bike still wouldnt start when I kick it over and there is a ticking/knocking noise coming from the engine. I have checked all the ignition coil, air filter and spark which are all good, I'm fairly new to bikes and don't have a clue what the noise is and why it isn't starting, anyone have any idea?!? Thank you.

Jake.southwick
thanks for linking!! I put my finger over the spark plug hole and it was just about blowing it off, I don't actually have a compression gauge to fully test it though

rennie
I think it's more likely to be wet electrics!old 2 strokes don't like rain! Take the plug(s) out and see if you're getting a spark
