Dynamo_Delboy
Hi all seem to be having a problem with downshiftinh on my 1989 ZX10.When going down the box sometimes im having to push the gear lever 2,3 sometimes 4 times to get it into gear. Its fine going up the gears.Any ideas what the problem could be?Thanks in advance
Stu
It could be anything from a sticking gear lever to a knackered gearbox! Start with the easiest! Strip and clean the gear lever pivots and make sure its not sticking
Guest
Make sure it's correctly adjusted too. I had problems changing up on an ER6, turned out that it was because my new boots were stiffer and I wasn't letting it disengage properly after the previous change. Adjusted the lever up a bit and problem solved. Obviously not quite the same thing but worth a look
