barker
seem to have developed a problem with my indicators as the one that flashes the opposite side gives a weak signal
fastbob
That's a little vague but I guess you just need to trace the wiring and make sure nothing is touching that shouldn't be or it could be the selector switch that needs a clean. Be wary though, switch gear can be very fiddly with tiny springs and ball bearings ready to shoot out and get lost. If you are going to take it apart use a camera to remind yourself how it goes back together.
Grumpy Old Git
More than likely, it will be a bad earth / return connection.
2WheelSolo
More than likely, it will be a bad earth / return connection. That's what it sounds like to me. Stopped briefly behind a chap with a trailer earlier this week. He was fiddling behind the car and the lights on the trailer were doing an excellent impression of Christmas come early. It was even messing up the back lights on his car. I didn't envy him the job of fault-finding.Do you have any reason to think that there has been water ingress to either of the indicators? That's a pretty common cause of gremlins like you describe.
