ElLiamoDiablo
I have a 1997 yamaha thundercat that's in pretty good shape. The problem is when I drop the throttle the revs drop to about 1k then slowly keeps dropping until it stalls. I've tried using the idle adjuster screw; turning it up makes the revs stick at around 3k and not drop unless I let the clutch out and turning it down makes the revs drop and it stalls quicker. I've had someone check the carbs and there are no leaks. Any suggestions? My wrist hurts because I need to keep on the throttle at the lights. :C thanks
megawatt
Make sure plugs are sparking OK, then try opening air screws 1/4 turn. Carbs should be fully stripped and cleaned if this doesn't work.
