Mississippi Bullfrog
When the head broke on my Honda Cub I glued it together with JB and it ran fine.....until it got nicked and crashed into a tree.

Not saying they are freakish but pass them off as Siamese twins you know.
Tiggie
My exhaust header had a split on the seam that I used to patch up with jbweld. Lasted longer than gungum strangely.
Slowlycatchymonkey
goat That’s genius, the squabbling freak show, I’ll rake it in. Feel a little embarrassed I was only thinking of glueing the water glasses to the table. Or maybe that evil nieghbours door shut. Got anything else? This could be the best £5 I’ve ever spent

SometimesSansEngine
Unrelated but related, just this morning our ten year old inquisitively asked us "what is solvent abuse?"
Slowlycatchymonkey
SometimesSansEngine What did you say?I never understood what draws people to glue sniffing or aerosols. When I was at school many moons ago it was only losers who did glue although I always thought marker pen had a great whiff.

SometimesSansEngine
He read it on the side of a can in the toilet. Quite old school, I only do that now if I forgot my mobile We're relatively straight with our kids, especially the eldest. He'd only google it anyway

rennie
many years ago, when I was an apprentice, I got high as a kite working withplastic conduit and the glue that goes with it! I genuinely didn't know anything about it or the dangers
Slowlycatchymonkey
Easily done when you don’t know. I got inside a milk tank to scrub it clean with hydrochloric acid more than once just becasue someone told me to, about 10- 20 mins in you’d start to feel very unwell. Did I stop? Nope. Did I question being told to be careful not to get it in my eyes and why were there no safety goggles? Nope. Duh
