Pbassred
Well this is embarrassing! I road the bike to work and it got a flat just as I got through the gate. I could go home and bring a tubeless repair kit in tomorrow. I don't know how much I trust them.Alternatively, Get a new tyre fitted. I can get the wheel off but it seems like its only possible to buy tyres mail order. Other than a specialist bike shop, how can I get one fitted? trcooke
I would be surprised if there is not a mobile tyre fitter in your area that deals in motorcycle tyres. Yellow Pages time.
mikestrivens
Tubeless repair would work if it is in the main tread area of the tyre and the hole is not too big. Other wise as above get he Yellow Pages out or use Google.
Westbeef
Google for bike tyre shops near you, they're happy for you to pop in with a wheel and swap the tyre there and then for you. Or buy one yourself online and any motorbike garage should be able to carry out the work for you if you take in the loose wheel and new tyre. fastbob
As above but I think tyre fitters would probably be happier to sell you the tyre as well as fit and balance it .
Mississippi Bullfrog
As above but I think tyre fitters would probably be happier to sell you the tyre as well as fit and balance it . That's what I usually do. Builds better relationships and keeps the local guys in business.

Bikersworld used to charge £20 to fit a tyre they didn't supply.Do yours sums to work out the best option, don't assume anywhere will fit it FOC. Gerontious
I phone the tyre shop to make sure they have the tyres I want. If they don't then it's "next day" and ride down and drink coffee while the job is done... Pay and ride HomeNo car..so it has to be ride in/ride out.Place I use. Independent place owned by a former racer. http://www.mtsnottingham.co.uk

I used to hold a bunch of forklift certificates including diesel counterbalance so that's a bit like a car and I've been go karting a couple of times. Actually, popping the bike on a forklift and driving it over to the fitter could just be a genius solution
Hoggs
I've used these guys when I had a slash in my tyre so couldn't ride to a garage- they say they covers Herts. £50 call out for fixing/plugging.. maybe a bit more to fit a tyre you have or can supply and fit tyre at an acceptable cost. Was impressed with the service http://www.londonmpr.co.uk/prices.php
Pbassred
Well the final round up ( or, nearly because I had to go away on business). My local bike garage will by the tyre for me next day, slightly cheaper than I could. Fitting costs £35 on the bike or £15 on a loose wheel. gogs01
My local BMW dealer supplies and fits tyres at much the same price as the other specialist tyre fitters in the area. Strange, but true .....
