Oil drain plug ?

It's the big hex head lower left


Also make sure its not a right hand thread on it so trying to undo it as part lefty loosey righty tighty drain plugs are often the reverse of this

I taken the big one out a spring and a thing like a golf tea droped out oil come out aswell. I have put the two things back in and replace the bolt. I then take out the smaller one and more oil came out.

I think the spring and little T thing are something to do with the gears.

So you figured it out yourself . I hope you put the spring and golf tee back in the right way up and in the right order . Well done. As a general rule the oil drain plug is usually situated at the lowest point of the engine .

Why would they put a left hand thread on a sump?

I'm not sure but I have definitely had one bike that had it

The spring and t shaped object are the gear selector detent. It's very common to undo them in mistake for the oil drain bolt - but the T shaped bit has to go back the right way round or getting neutral will be difficult.


I've never had a reverse thread sump bolt but I've known lots of people think they that have because they see it undoing the wrong way round when seen from above. Always look at it from the underneath.

I am not sure if I put in the right way I didn't see it come out I just heard it I have been round the block it runs ok only thing was it's harder to get neutral.

 

That's no surprise ! This thing is what clicks into place when neutral is selected . Better get the oil pan out again !

Ok , a bit of guesswork here ( 🤐 ) but assuming that your engine is a knock off based on a Suzuki GN 125 I recon it goes together like this . I bet you put the spring in first .

Too true , I always get another spare bolt and hold it next to the sump bolt and have a good long look at it before I undo it . Better safe than sorry .

I use a ratchet socket and set it to “undo” before using it on the sump plug.

Simple as that. I reckon the vast majority of "problems" with sump plugs.. and they're not exactly rare: stripped threads, even cracked sumps is due to turning them the wrong way. evidence of this is to be read in this very thread with mention of reverse threads.

What a lot of people do is to seat the 'top hat' bit so it sits inside the spring, which looks like it is meant to. It isn't - the spring sits underneath it so the upper section engages when you go for neutral.
