Honda CBF 125 2014 hot weather issue.

I need help.

Got a second hand Honda from dealer and it has a 6 weeks warranty left.

Twice, both on hot days, the bike has began to kangaroo and stall. The solution has been stopping for ten minutes and then getting back on until it kangaroos again. Rinse repeat. Pushed it most of the way home on both occasions on my humble 7 mile commute. Not fun in full gear.

Honda state this is a known issue with CBF that it cant handle overly hot days. However they surely sell in hotter countries (probably with a carbuteror).

It works fine on "normal" days.

I think it's the bike runs lean when hot due to vaporisation of fuel. Or so I read!

Any solutions? Does this sound right?

What do I do? Considering demanding refund.

I worry that even on normal days it will eventually overheat so I just dont trust it.

Dont want to burn bridges with local dealer either.

If it’s still in warranty take it back to the dealer. Some people reckon it’s a fuel pump issue, others say the dealer can remap the ecu to richen the mix slightly. But you’re best off letting the dealer know about it and sort it out before the warranty expires.
