As far as I am aware the cap was removed years ago. I'm only pro because I get a discount on it, and I like the pc auto uploader (Lazy...)

I stopped using photobucket a while ago there is the odd time I use it on some forums who's settings are crap and won't let you upload a decent sized photo or the photo comes out huge!

I would rather see images uploaded to the forum on here so images don't go missing hence why I changed all the settings a while back to allow larger files and auto resizing there is plenty of disk space on here feel free to use it

And the problem with that is you are posting the full size image

so if your image is 10mb thats what the site has to load each time a member looks at that image!

Not good for mobile users or people on a slow connection :)

Oh , sorry , I had no idea . When I select embed codes I always choose the option that says its for message boards and forums so naturally I didn't realise this would be a problem. When you say not good for mobile users I am a little puzzled because I am a mobile user . I believe that I first heard about IMGUR on this forum so forgive me if I acted inappropriately. So these photos or screen shots from my Nokia Lumia 640 are 10 megabytes then , that sounds a lot . So what do I do now ?

Imgur FTW
Is this a statement in praise or condemnation of IMGUR ? I think I know what FTW means but acronyms occasionally change their meaning over time.

It's only a problem if they are large images I haven't looked at any of yours to be honest to see what size they are! Yours could well be nice and small file sizes

When I say problem for mobile users I mean that if they have limited data allowance with their contract then a larger file size will eat up their data

Don't be sorry just be aware that if it's a large image size then it could cause issues for some users :thumb:

I must say though I don't know why people use third party hosting when it's so much easier to upload straight to the forum :?

If there is issues uploading to here then let me know and I will try and fix them :)

Depending on the photo I'll share from Flickr if I want to keep control of the photo. If I remove it from Flickr, it removes it from most forums I've posted it on. It's just an easy way to keep track of photos. :)
