What's the dimensions it needs to be resized to? I tried the 100x100pxls and it came out distorted as hell!

It's not only about the amount of pixels it's also about definition. Lower the quality as well.

Reduced it by 66% file size down from 2.1mb to 770kb and that's the smallest I can achieve. Any recommendations on software/websites I can use to grab a link from?

I use Microsoft Picture It 10. Most of the hosing sites have the facility to reduce quality and file size.

No need for fancy software I have always used paint

As for file dimensions Maximum dimensions; width: 100 pixels, height: 100 pixels, file size: 39.00 KiB.

:stupid:

Paint is really easy, you can resize and if it's not a square picture make the longer value 100 pixels and save as a JPG. Should be fine file size wise.

As already mentioned depending on the resolution of the original, paint doesn't allow you to reduce the definition. There are however free online tools available that can do this.
