Picture hosting

#1 Post by Mr Fro » Sun Feb 05, 2017 11:07 am

Alright dudes.

I've been using Photobucket for image hosting for years but it's now so full of ads and slow that I can no longer be bothered with it.

Who do you use/recommend that's quick, easy and free to use?

Cheers,
Fro

depends on what you are actually using it for?

if its just for backup then I recommend dropbox or google drive

If you are using it to share the pics on forums and stuff then I dunno as I just upload the pics directly as its better for other users on here

Isn't there a limit for the number of pics we can upload?

I use Flickr. Think you still get 1tb of storage on the free account still.

Shares like photobucket too.

Nope

as long as your not using it for hosting purposes and killing my bandwidth

I have about 60GB of storage and currently use about 20GB but files are adjusted when you upload them

If you was just going to use it to post pics on here then I wouldn't worry about it

Just post them directly to the forum with the attachments feature

I have adjusted settings to allow large file sizes and they will resize a lot smaller so the end users will have a better experience. Much better than external hosted images :)

I still use photobucket and don't have long wait times to upload. I suppose it depends on what you are comparing it to.

As said before AdBlock speeds it up no end. Since I installed AdBlock even Ebay is tolerable these days.
