Hi just basically looking for some advice on a few things I recently come across this its a 1983 cb 100n it had been purchased 2 year ago by a friend with a view to creating a cafe racer but due to all the usual demands of life never got round to it.

First of all it wasnt running but that wasn't to much of a problem new battery fule and plug points set general suff but when the bike is run at night with lights on it drains the 6v battery and keeps cutting out even when you apply the brake and the light comes on it dims the hhead light significantly. The battery is brand new applied the acid but only gave it a chargre for a hour maybe hour and half wondering if that's the problem or its the rectifier not working properly. ?

The other thing I would like a helping hand with is what are they worth ? And where's the best place to get parts ?

Thanks Lee

Loads of parts available at auto-jumbles as well as on fleabay.

Value (for insurance purposes) is circa £600.

Value = whatever someone is willing to pay for it - You might get more if you broke it down for parts :?

Battery - You should have charged it up for the time specified on the instructions which would have came with it.

There may be corrosion / dirty contacts on cable connectors throughout the loom - Chase these down and inspect/clean as required.

Good luck!
