A bimble round the Shires

#1 Post by Gerontious » Mon Mar 11, 2019 8:28 pm

Went for a little ride today.. about 210 miles into the Fens. (for a change)

Image

And fulfilled a bit of a strange Ambition. passing through two strangely named villages,

went from Four Gotes in Cambridgeshire.

Image

to Three Holes in Norfolk

Image

And made a bit of a discovery. Ive heard of the place but never been there: Oundle in Northants. unbelievably twee.
I was so overcome with its tweeness that i didnt stop.. just ooh'd and aah'd (abit)

Image

Nice day for it 13c and a bit of a breeze...

They have the World Conker championships just outside Oundle each year, my ex father in law used to go very year and the Mother in law entered and finished second once, she was the second best conker player in the world. :D
