as the title suggests, this is my first proper road bike!

had a pit bike to rag around the fields when I was younger but this is my first proper one.

done my CBT a few weeks back then got this a few days ago and I'm in love with it already.

its a Yamaha sr125 on a T plate (99) with 21k on the clock

lots of paperwork and history with the bike

wasn't too sure about buying an oldish bike for my first one but done lots of research on this model and it looks great condition for its age.

having a blast with the 125 at the mo, im sure I will do my bike licence and get something bigger eventually but having fun with this at the mo!

anyways, here she is..

lovley bike mate as megawatt said, the acf50 helps. lot of chrome on the sr so will find you need to keep it looked after to avoid rust. one thing i find with my SR is it can gather a hell of a lot of gunk under the front sprocket cover so keep and eye on that when your doing chain maintenance :)

Other than the that its just the usual stuff, keep chain lubed, keep tabs on air filter and watch oil level and brake fluid levels/conditions and keep her clean (paint job buffs up fantastic on these bikes with a bit of wax)

Enjoy your SR its a cracking little bike and im sure you will enjoy it!

Looks in good nick....what reg. is it? You know this is the start of a long relationship, don't you? My first "proper" bike was a Honda CJ250 in 1977.....I still love that bike.

It's on a 'T' plate so its a 99 model. not far of 20 years but looks barely a year old. guy I brought it off worked in a motorbike workshop and as I said before it came with loads of history so you can see its been well looked after.
