https://www.dartsfarm.co.uk/ > If i remember right, there's a cafe with tables outside. It's just outside Exeter so perhaps too close to the hungry limit.

I've stopped at Weston super Mare before now for a picnic on the front; it's a bit extra on the journey though. Burnham might be a better option.

If the weather's fine and you just want a field with a view to have lunch in, then you could do worse than here: https://www.google.com/maps/@50.9569821,-3.1840104,3a,75y,208.34h,85.02t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sgKNXveQRWj5h8Rf-71QErg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656.

There's always some ideas on this website https://www.justoffjunction.co.uk/

But what specifically are you looking for? (eg space for the kids to run around, activities for the kids, food etc)

Yes all the above to feed and change a 2&3 year old on a 4.5 hr journey.

We can't get into the accommodation until 5pm due to covid cleaning so we're planning on stopping about halfway for a break which from Rugby would be between Bristol and Exeter.

Thanks to all the suggestions ,will look through :thumb: :thumb:
