I recently overhauled the caliper changed the piston seals and pads and fully bled the brake .. But keep getting rear brake lock overheating glowing .. And not able to move complete locked.. Go to pit stop section and have a look at the last few posts on page 3 of "Brake lever travel" I've had exactly the same trouble but luckily I didn't end up with a red hot caliper. Try reversing the seals and a dab of caliper grease or Red Rubber grease as it is also known. You did carefully scrape out all the crud behind the seals I presume? Before you take it on the road again pump the lever many dozens of times to ensure the pistons aren't sticking again. Good luck. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The bike is a Honda cbr 125 2014... Any advice ...Several years ago, I had a Chinese Dual Sport and the rear brake locked up after 200 kms. The problem was the adjustment between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. When the brake pedal was released, it was not allowing the master cylinder pin to fully retract. This would keep fluid pressure on the caliper and the pads weren't pulling back.
