Really cheap Disc Locks

Recommended Posts

I'm about to put an order through at Sportsbikeshop, and need something >£6 to be able to use a discount code I have.

I don't have a bike yet, or any security equipment for when I do get a bike, and I saw a few disc locks for little money. I wondered if they were a good idea or not for carrying around when nipping into the shops etc?

Or, can you suggest something else to spend £6 on? I'm buying waterproof trousers, I've thought about cleaning products, visor wiper, neck warmer etc.

A £6 disc lock.....is it made of cheese or chocolate? Yummy.

Seriously, I would spend it on some thing useful like ear plugs or a scarf.

You get what you pay for.....and £6 ain't a lot....

That's what I thought, but then there are a few options out there under £10 and the reviews are positive.

But I wonder how often I'll be out without a more serious lock. I mean, given that I intend to have some way of carrying serious security for day trips then I may as well use that all the time.

OK, so neck scarf might be the best option.

#5 alarm (connected to Air horns)

#6 GPS tracker (battery backup)

#7 CCTV (1 hidden 1 on show)
