New bike

Post by fq-craigus » Wed Mar 07, 2018 8:51 pm

Alright people well I finally found a dog to buy for a project just got it back and started looking into non start and already coming up against random broke wires that have been twisted together and no insulation ECT.
Can anyone help with a link to a workshop manual for a zx6r 1999 g2 as I need to know what's supposed to go where before I start tearing into it.
I have a huge earth that's been cut and one of the wires is jumped to the starter relay. .. really speechless on this one

How ever the bike looks alright from the offset, just plenty that's needs doing

I thought I would get the seal of approval from you lol, team green. It's going to be my winter hack and work bike so I can keep the gsxr clean.
That would be great thanks, I need the wiring diagram for the main loom if possible.
I have no spark so the ignition system too if it's in there please

It's alive.......

Thanks for the offer guys no doubt the bike will throw a curve ball or two still.

Found a bad connection where someone had tapped into the loom and twisted the wires together and just put heat shrink over it......... so I had a real in a wire going to the igniter unit.

Started and idled just before I finished work but revving up it's bogging down, possibly a vaccume leak on the carb but will look into that tomos if we quiet again

So onto the mechanical issues which I'm far more attuned to
Sort bogging down issue
Front fork seals,
New pads front and remove fork oil from caliper
Battery
And that's just what I've noticed so far
