SometimesSansEngine
This is a recent MOT advisory on a bike I've enquired about Front Wheel damaged but not to excess (5.2.2 © (i))This is said damage: Supposedly been checked by a mechanic who said it's nothing to worry about... But is there anything else you would check?(nb might not even go and see it yet, it's a bit of a trek and I'm not in a rush anyways, but this is generally good info for the future anyway)
Stu
I would be worried about if the wheel was true or not although the damage doesn't look to be too badCould just be from a cack handed tyre change
SometimesSansEngine
True wasn't definitely one of the things I'd considered - easier to check on a bicycle wheel though plus I have all the tools to fix an out of true bike wheel

Beansie
Looks more like someone has slipped with a tyre lever to me rather than accident damage
