Westbeef
I've been noseying some 80s bikes, I've found one which has no registration plate and no V5. I'm quite certain it's not been stolen. Is it possible to get such a bike back on the road?
Bender
Once bought a range rover that had not been registered and driven on a private estate, had to apply for logbook and it all went bizarrely straight forward.

What's the process of applying like? Just phone up the DVLA and see if they'll give me a reg?
Bender
It was many many years ago, form filling exercise, got it from the local dvla office, non of which exist any more, they were fine, it may be different if it had been registered and has a huge blank in its history, I have had that too in which case they try to contact last known owner to see why they didn't inform dvla. mikestrivens
All on DVLA website. First you have to apply for registration then apply for V5 logbook.
Westbeef
All on DVLA website. First you have to apply for registration then apply for V5 logbook. I've looked, applying for a registration has everything except this situation. It's not old enough to have never been registered and the others dont apply. Bender
If you think it's been registered just apply for log book
Westbeef
If you think it's been registered just apply for log book I had a look, I need to know the registration no for that. It's all a bit of a headache .After a bit more research it seems possible. Needs an MOT against the vin and insurance and an inspection from the DVLA.
