Pbassred
the CBR500R does not have bobbin threads. I bought some converters that use the wheel bolt as a mount. However they are not strong enough. After 10 lifts they are giving up I could buy stronger ones but I don't know where from. I could get a pair of threaded sleeves weld to the swing arm as a permanent fix. Has anyone done that before? dynax
Why not just drill and tap the swing arm, should be easier than welding mounts on

dynax
I would sooner drill and tap, than weld it, could end up doing more damage, plus most swing arm's are aluminium, which would make it more difficult, but each to their own
Mississippi Bullfrog
Could you use a small lift instead? I find it easier than a rear paddock stand. Got mine off Amazon for about £40 and I'm very pleased with it.
winston smith
Would it not be easier to buy the cup adapters for your paddock stand ? I know they're abit old fashioned and unsexy, but will lift the bike and no bodging required
Mr Fro
wot e zedI've got the whinja up using those as I think bobbins look shite. They work fine and are no more of a fiddle than using bobbins.
dynax
Going by your profile, you are an engineer, should be fairly simple for you to make something, that would allow you to mount the bobbins, without having to weld the swing arms, what about a sleeve with a captive nut, that is clamped to the swing arm,
raesewell
Holes in a structural member? No way! It won't be a hole once you fill it up with a bolt.
