Bobbin mounts on the swing arm.

the CBR500R does not have bobbin threads. I bought some converters that use the wheel bolt as a mount. However they are not strong enough. After 10 lifts they are giving up

I could buy stronger ones but I don't know where from. I could get a pair of threaded sleeves weld to the swing arm as a permanent fix. Has anyone done that before?

I would sooner drill and tap, than weld it, could end up doing more damage, plus most swing arm's are aluminium, which would make it more difficult, but each to their own :thumb:

Going by your profile, you are an engineer, should be fairly simple for you to make something, that would allow you to mount the bobbins, without having to weld the swing arms, what about a sleeve with a captive nut, that is clamped to the swing arm,
