As new as it gets!

Post by Anthony2772 » Sat Dec 07, 2019 10:33 am

Hi all, very new to this and just recently passed Mod2 last Tuesday....still beaming :)

I have an idea of which bike I want e.g second hand SV650, Bandit, Hornet type of bike. unable to test ride at moment as I live remotely in west wales and not many dealers (if any) with a range of bikes. Cant wait to get one and start learning for real, live in Pembrokeshire so plenty of good rides and a decent 25 mile commute to work...anyone know of a good reliable dealer? I am willing to drive long distances to get the right bike from the right dealer

ANY advice is very welcome

Thanks all!

:thumb: welcome and well done.....my advice ,go look at plenty sit on them all and beware ...sv650 has a race class so u could end up with a ex racer..look for lock wired sump bung and jubille clip on oil filter and fresh plastics ...bandits are hard to find good ones but loads around so look around .don't buy first seen and test ride always up all gears .I've a gsx750f and more than happy with it ..

This place could be worth a visit . If it's the same business that used to be at Frome's Hill near Worcester then it would be a good place to see a wide variety of bikes of varying ages and conditions . Motorbikes 4 All

If you're willing to travel a bit then David Jones in Newtown, Woods in Abergele, Bill Smith in Chester, Fowlers in Bristol, and George White in Swindon are all excellent.

Hey well done chap and enjoy the glowing feeling :-)
Can't give you any recommendations as I live in about as far from you as it's possible to get and still be in England or Wales.
But have fun looking around.

the gsx750f is one off the best all rounders.. There is a gsx600f also but look at 98-05 shape as most modern looking .easy to get a tidy one ,cheap to run and insure and got some pace when needed.think the 600 is 84hp and 750 is 93hp ..I'm paying under Β£170 for insurance with another bike on policy and I'm in NI lol....only thing is its slightly heavy but same as vfr750 weight ..good sports tourer bike and easy to ride I think.bandit type engine bullet proof
I'd rather cry in a Ferrari :crybaby:
