the best advice anyone ever gave me about a bike is buy something cheaper for your first one because you will drop it. I didn't believe them until I dropped it as soon as I got it home after buying it.

There is a gsx600f also but look at 98-05 shape as most modern looking .easy to get a tidy one ,cheap to run and insure and got some pace when needed.think the 600 is 84hp and 750 is 93hp ..I'm paying under £170 for insurance with another bike on policy and I'm in NI lol....only thing is its slightly heavy but same as vfr750 weight ..good sports tourer bike and easy to ride I think.bandit type engine bullet proof

No worries...loads of them out there so get a mint low miles( under 20k)750cc 2001ish + model for £2000 or less..great first big bike and a comfy ride :thumb:
