Tactical voting.......vote for whoever can remove a Tory!

If you don't want to listen to my advice.....no sweat.

But maybe you might want to listen to a doctor's advice instead:

"Prime Minister, the NHS is not safe in your hands. Your negligence and that of your party over the past decade has contributed to the deaths of nearly 5,500 patients, and if you were a junior doctor like me, your licence would now be revoked, and you would be sent to prison."

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/dec/10/doctor-johnson-thousands-deaths-nhs-patient

You won't have to look far for loads of other medical professionals who are all saying the same thing.

If only life was as simplistic as some of you see it. There's a lot more going on here than you what you think there is.

I suggest you look at Page 48 of the Tory manifesto for a taste of what's to come......it pledges to put Johnson above the law:

If what this manifesto promises were to become fact, he would be the only person in the entire United Kingdom whose work decisions could not be ruled illegal.

His job would not be subject to 2,000 years of legal precedent, human rights laws, equality considerations, or even a freshly-minted law made by Parliament.

In the interests of "effective government", the ancient rights of Royal Prerogative could be used to overrule Parliament, so that the government and Prime Minister could act illegally, without the tiniest chance of stopping it.

This is not the separation of powers: this is the concentration of power in one man, and his hand-picked goons. Study 1930's European history for an indication of where this leads!

Don't know what Conservative Manifesto you are reading but in my copy page 48 is all about Scotland. I detect a slight whiff of BS here or as we are supposed to refer to it these days "fake news".

Looking at that page , I think I agree with all that was stated there, cant see a problem :)

One man completely above the law is OK by you then?

Just so you know, the rise of Hitler was possible because of article 48 of the Weimar Constitution which allowed the executive government to bypass parliament with emergency powers.

Guess what's on page 48 of Boris Johnson's manifesto? Yes, that's right!

Corbyn wouldn't be able to do jack shit in a Hung Parliament......his authority would be held in check by all the other non-Tory parties.

Don't get me wrong.....I wouldn't want to see Corbyn in power any more than you would......but the alternative is even worse.

But isnt that what happened here , Boris wanted a General Election and parliament stopped him?

Diversification of power between the Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary is what happened there.

It's been the cornerstone of the British Constitution for hundreds of years in order to prevent a dictatorship.

Fake news. That website is not the Tory Party's website where you might expect to find the actual manifesto to be posted. God knows what it is but as someone who works in IT I'm sure you could find out.

As for dictatorship - which European country is it that responded to peaceful demonstrations from its Northern region in favour of separatism with a massive police action resulting in hundreds being arrested or injured, the leaders either in exile or in jail for up to ,15 years? Was it the UK? No, it was Spain which lest we forget had an actual real life dictator for 40 years.
