Was riding the scooter home tonight and clocked the odometer at 57705.

The number 5705 immediately sprung to my mind that it was a cheesy 70s song, but couldn't remember the artist.

Youtube'd it when I got home and found it was City Boy in 1978.

Now I can't shift the tune out my head, fk you Honda speedo :

The strangest things bring tunes flooding back

Eat a packet of tunes, drink 8pints of Guinness, stick fingers down throat.

Guarantee the tunes will come flooding back :thumb:

😁

Just the smell of that vile shite will bring the tunes back! no need for 8 pints

There's a few vids of it out there showing different vocalists.......and in reality it was the drummer Roy Ward who actually sang it.

He also did the vocals (as a session singer) on "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" which was a hit in 1982 for Tight Fit.

One of my specialist subjects is 60's/70's music!

Did you know that Debbie Harry f@cked Hendrix when she was a groupie?

And that Hendrix was once the support act for the Monkees?

I know loads of useless shit like that!

If anyone's speedo shows 25624 miles today what song should they start singing?

Depends where it's made....on some bikes it would be

Another one bites the dust.

Or something to do with Chicago, which now means I've got Sweet Home Chicago in my head. Thanks for that.

Do you remember the interview with "Tight fit" on Taswas?

They were asked how they got their name and he said "I am fit and they are".

Laughed my arse off !

Cheers
