Morning!

Not even 9am and the bitchy e-mails are already going around.
One guy is doing my nut in, if you don't check in with him, he assumes you're not working on his project. His projects will always be made out to be more important than whatever else I have on, regardless of the reality.
Every time he then kicks off on e-mails, but if you give it back to him he switches straight into victim mode and acts like you snapped at him out of nowhere. Then if you leave it, he goes right back to kicking off.
I have had my fair share of numpties like that, been many a time when i've told them to go forth and take their shite somewhere else
Mike, just cruising around with Xena 8-)

Been over 20 years since I worked for a company.......it's a nightmare some of the as*holes you have to tolerate!
I envy the self employed and retired.

Foolishly I took on the work bully some time back. He's pushed 3 or 4 people out of the business but is a pro in grinding people down without any evidence. With me, I found out he had edited e-mails in a 20+ long chain of them to make it look like I had not done things etc. Took him to task on that and it nearly got physical with him pushing me away from my desk and me threatening to punch him if he didn't back off and let me go.

I moved department and then was promoted so we don't have much to do with each other now, but he's still here. Mates with the right people I think :?

There's always people like that in companies Fozzie!

I blame senior management for not putting them in their place at the outset.

My likes are posted to you guys as I am currently trying to hand over a finished project and the client`s "Quality Manager" is a complete cock.
On reviewing snag lists we are notifying the project manager that 70 snags only adds up to 21 all of which are simple.
So we walked the project manager and the employers agent round the next unit and they agreed some 20 odd items and 35 to 40 mins was reasonable to walk round a 4 bed house.
Knob head then turned up and spent 3 1/2 hours in there alone refusing to speak to anyone and found "allegedly" 170 items !
Rant over but dealing with cocks is stressful lol.
Cheers
Ian

This is one of the reasons I took an early retirement.
Dealing with clients that, in my case, were fine in meeting and site walk rounds. Then shafted you in the back.
Can’t give the necessary info to complete the job then complain to your MD that you are late.
I retired. Problem sorted. Still in contact with the old company and the job I was on is now nearly 3 years overdue due to client lateness.

Yurgh. I watched the Italian Job last night. The proper one.

Woke up today with a raging temperature. No-one said just watching a film made in Italy was dangerous.

It depends, I don't want to give myself a reputation to the higher management who don't see what the workers below see.

It reminds me of being back at school. I had grief off the bullies because I was small, but fought back. Teachers didn't care until I grew 2 feet and started winning. Like managers, they care less about who was right, and more about who was involved. And if you're involved in a few as I've been, the finger inevitably gets pointed at you. And to be fair, I used to be really bad for knowing when to just walk away.

On the upside, this situation turned out ok. A new boss came in, and listened to peoples feedback, and reshuffled the department so he's got less managerial power. I'm told he's been a lot better in recent months, and a lot more humble.

Good morning anyway! Weather is absolutely rubbish here in Manchester this weekend. Ironbridge is already under water so what's going to happen there!?
