It is my practice to fly the Union Flag on the village green during this difficult time.

So yesterday evening I was lowering it when I heard the burble of pipes and a chap on a lovely Royal Enfield appeared. We got chatting and he lives locally so hopefully a new member for our small band of reprobates on motorbikes.

So, as the afternoon was bright and warm(ish), I decided to go for a self-isolation bimble on t'bike. Stopped to refuel at a Co-Op garage fairly close by and I was asked to remove my helmet before they would activate the pump. Luckily, I was prepared to go for a little 'walk in the wild' as part of my afternoon out so, I took off my helmet, adjusted my scarf so it came up to just below my eyes, put on my woolly hat (pulled down to my eyebrows and went in to pay. The young(ish) lad at the till never said a word so I asked " Why did I need to take off my helmet"? His answer 'I'ts the rules mate'!

The mind boggles!!!
